Okay. Hello. The tour starts in February and more details will be added with regard to venues and times and addresses and all as we near February. With the exception of two dates, they are all free and in great bookstores, and I will have the odd piece of curios for you, also free of charge, as I tend to. Some great people are on the schedule of events as well: There is a McSweeney’s/826 Valencia panel on humor I’ll take part in with talented and charming folks such as Beth Lisick, designed to make you laugh. In Toronto you’ll be treated to a brilliant band called The Bicycles.
ROCK ON will be in stores 2/12/08 here in the U.S. brought to you by from the fine folks at Algonquin, and in April in the U.K. courtesy of Random House/Harvill Secker. Also: In December there were sessions at John Marshall Sound here in New York resulting in recording the audiobook of ROCK ON, which is largely and entirely a separate entertainment experience/situation/beast all its own — it will be available from Random House Audio at iTunes, Audible.com, and the like.
That’s about it for now. Hope all is well and that everyone is having/has had great holidays. More as we get toward February. Hope you have fun poking around the site here — only a week or so before it launched, I gave Jay Fienberg and Anastasia Fuller in Seattle a handful of photographs that I had snuck around taking and they quickly snapped into action working hard and smart to build a really cool site here. And now they have gone off to New Zealand, as people do after this sort of thing. Meanwhile, here in NYC, the immensely talented Hilary McHone sent in this photo from the last Moth StorySLAM I’ll be able to host for a couple of months.
What a great bunch of people that night!
